‘Golmaal Again’ Bids the Highest Opening than Aamir Khan’s ‘Secret Superstar’

Golmaal Again was a kick-start this week harmonizing perfectly with the Diwali ‘dhamaka’. And it’s pretty obvious because the head honcho behind the scene is Rohit Shetty starring Ajay Devgn. ‘Golmaal Again’ managed to overpower this season becoming Ajay Devgn’s highest opener in India. It got hold of Rs. 87.60 crores this weekend with its collection over Rs. 30.14 on its day one.

Very soon it’s stepping forward to be on the list of 100 crore thresholds getting its name on becoming the second biggest box-office opener of this year right after “Bahubali 2: The Conclusion”.

Meanwhile, director Advait Chandan’s movie ‘Secret Superstar’ starring the perfectionist of Bollywood Aamir Khan and the ‘Dangal’ girl Zaira Wasim, made a Diwali release with the foothold of Rs. 15 crore. Within four days of release it marked the rise of total Rs. 31.31 crore.

While the two movies are incomparable on the basis of their respective story line but on the parameters of its turnover so far, the duo of Ajay and Rohit are one step ahead. Golmaal Again happened to steal the spotlight because of its fair storyline which gives a vibe of horror-comedy that the nation has been waiting for long. Moreover, the movie is beyond the slapstick comedies and gags. And on top of that, the prolonged festive seasons and weekends acted as a catalyst to grab the audience to release their worries outside and enjoy laughter on the theatre.

Aamir and Zaira’s second movie ‘Secret Superstar’ is a lucid rather simple tale of a young girl with dream to be a singing superstar. It’s about her chasing the dreams despite of her shortcomings or impersonality. There will be people and situations that will stand rock hard against you. But it’s only till you allow. Break the shackles. That’s what the story’s plot is, but of course it has various characterisations and plot twists that will set your mood for a meaningful movie base.

Golmaal Again and Secret Superstar both are following its own trend. Let the viewers take in control of who is to win the theatre battle.
