Bollywood Actor Shashi Kapoor Passed Away at the Age of 79.

It’s a sad day indeed as the Veteran Bollywood Actor Shashi Kapoor passed away at the age of 79. The Padma Bhushan awardee (2011) Shashi Kapoor, who was born as Balbir Raj Kapoor on 18th of March 1938, is an evergreen actor who will be remembered forever for his contribution to the Indian cinema.

Shashi Kapoor also has appeared in numerous Hindi films and in few English language films as well. In 2015, Shashi Kapoor was awarded Dadasaheb Phalke Award. He was undergoing constant old age related problems and been under constant medical supervision.

His paramount contribution to the Bollywood Indian cinema is worth respectable; as the actor worked in over 175 films. Shashi Kapoor also produced some films that went very hit and popular and is still maintaining the same popularity. Junoon, Vijeta, Utrsav, Kalyug are some of his well known produced films. In 1988, he also directed a Russian movie named Vozvrashcheniye Bagdadskogo Vora.

He is born with an acting talent as the actor started his film career as a child actor. In 1948 and 1951 he worked in his brother Raj Kapoor’s film Aag and Awaara respectively.

His first debut was in 1961 in the film Dharmputra. And ever since then he gave us some biggest hits, such as Deewar, Kabhie Kabhie, Suhaag, Trishul, Silsila, Namak Halal –these are just a few to be named. Till the late 1980 he ruled the Bollywood with his amazing acting and his unforgettable style and personality.

The pairing of Shashi Kapoor and the superstar Amitabh Bachchan was widely popular among the audience.

Shashi Kapoor’s brilliant acting and his contribution will be forever remembered through generations. His versatility and the legend himself will live young forever in the hearts of the nation.
