Durga Puja, also Known as Durgotsava is popular and famous annual festival of Hindu in the Indian subcontinent that reverses the goddess Durga. It is particularly popular in West Bengal, Bihar, Jharkhand, Odisha, Assam, and Tripura. The festival is observed in the month of Ashvin of Hindu Calendar. Durga Puja festival is a multi-day festival. On this grand festival, people elaborate temple, stage decorations (Pandals), scripture recitation, revelry, and processions.

This festival marks the battle of goddess Durga with the shape-shifting, deceptive and powerful buffalo demon Mahishasura, and her victory. Thus this festival is the mark of the victory of Good over evil.

The festival begins on the first day with Mahalaya, marking Durga’s advent in her battle against evil. And the festival ends of the tenth day of Vijaya Dashami.

Durga Puja is a ten-day festival, of which the last five days are very special and an annual holiday in West Bengal, Bihar, Odisha, and Tripura where this festival is particularly popular. From the medieval periods to the present day, this festival has celebrated the goddess with performance arts and as a social event.

I am here to let you people know about our 105th durga puja in Delhi... Which is timarpur and civil lines durga puja.. And we have received a good numbers of prizes for our beautiful idol here, so. My question is can you put some of pictures and details here... We want to let everyone one in Kolkata and all over India.. Let me know if you can u can share all the details with mail..
