Remove Black Spots from Your Skin Naturally in These Simple Steps

Black spots are a hindrance to your beauty. And it’s definitely not a sign of a good health. Black spots can be caused due to many reasons. Sunburns can cause appearance of dark patches even after the sunburn is gone. Discoloured skin patches can appear due to this.  Infections can also cause dark skin to appear after the infection is gone from the skin. Cuts, scrapes or even insect bites can cause black spots. Hormonal imbalance is also another reason for the appearance of black spots.

However, there are natural remedies for removal of black spots. And the good thing is, all the ingredients are readily available in the local market, rather it’s already available in your kitchen. And if one recipe doesn’t suit you, or if any ingredient is not available nearby your home, you can always have another natural and healthier alternative for the removal of black spots.

Here are some natural ways you can remove black spots from your skin: 

1. Remove Black Spots with Potato

Potatoes have natural bleaching properties which aids in removing sun tans and dark or black spots. The starch present in potato helps in reducing pigmentation. It’s already available in your kitchen as well. You can apply it on to your skin in different ways for getting a healthy spot free skin.

You can slice a potato and place it on the affected area. Place it for few minutes and then rinse it off with lukewarm water.

You can also make a mask on the face. Just peel and grate a potato, add one teaspoon of honey to it and mix it well. Apply the mask of the grated potato with honey all over your face, especially on the affected area and allow it to rest on the skin for about 15 minutes. Then rinse it off from your skin with lukewarm water.

Even the potato juice can be beneficial for removal of dark spots. Extract the potato juice from a potato. Add a little amount of lemon juice and turmeric on to the potato juice. Mix it well and apply on the affected areas of the skin. Allow it to dry and then rinse it off.

2. Lemon is Effective for Black Spot Removal

Lemons are easily available in the grocery store. It’s not only good for your health, but also for your skin. Lemons are best known for skin lightening treatment. The Vitamin C present in lemon helps reducing dark spots and lightens the skin. Also, the antioxidants that’s present in lemon removes impurities from skin and keeps skin healthier.

Dab cotton balls on fresh lime / lemon juice and apply on to the affected areas. Allow it to dry and then rinse it off with water.

Pure lemon juice can be harsh on skin for some people with sensitive skins, allergy prone skin, people with open sores and lesions. You can also dilute the lemon juice with a bit of honey or water. You can also mix rose water with it and then apply on to the skin. Avoid going out to sunlight as the lemon can make your skin photosensitive.

3. Aloe Vera is Beneficial for dark spot removal

Aloe Vera is best known for dark spots corrector and remover of acne and pimple. It removes acne scars and acne marks too. Aloe Vera helps in so many health and skin benefits. It has healing properties. It contains polysaccharides which stimulates skin cell growth and help reduce dark spots, scars and skin blemishes.

Extract Aloe Vera gel from Aloe Vera leaf. Don’t leave it for long in open air. Apply it on your face and skin, especially wherever it’s burnt. Gently massage with fingers for few minutes and then leave it aside. Rinse if off with water after 15 to 20 minutes. Repeat this process once or twice a week daily for better results.

4. Turmeric is a Good Dark Spot Corrector

Turmeric has plenty of health and skin related benefits. The antioxidant properties in turmeric help reduce scars spots, acnes and pimples. It also helps reduce the spots that are created on skin due to it. The anti-inflammatory properties reduce scarring, blemishes and calm the skin down. Turmeric is very good for reducing skin pigmentation, radical damage, sun spots and age spots.

Mix little amount of turmeric, milk and lemon juice to make a thick paste out of all the ingredients.  Apply that paste on to the affected areas.  Leave it on the skin for few minutes and then rinse off with lukewarm water.

5. Sandalwood is always a good choice

Sandalwood is used by many women since ages for its numerous skincare benefits. It helps skin glow naturally by shedding off pimple marks, scars and pigmentation. Make a thick paste with sandalwood powder, one tablespoon of glycerine, two to three tablespoons of rose water. You can also add milk or honey instead of rose water. Apply this thick paste on the skin with dark spots. Leave it there for few minutes and then rinse off with lukewarm water. Follow this spots once daily unless the dark spots are getting away.

6. Castor Oil is a good ingredient for removal of dark spots

Castor oil is also beneficial for skin. It contains anti-inflammatory and acidic properties that remove and dark spots and helps lighten the area. Take fresh castor oil in a bowl. Dip cotton ball in it and rub the cotton ball soaked in oil on the dark spot area. Rub it in circular motion.

7. Buttermilk works like magic

Spot free healthy skin –that’s what we want and buttermilk is the right thing to help you with that. It reduces skin pigmentation and also betters skin complexion. Mix four tablespoons of buttermilk and two tablespoons of fresh tomato juice. Mix it well and then apply. Keep it for about 15 minutes and then wash it off.
