He has acted in more than 80 films and is known worldwide for his stardom success. King Khan started stepping into the television world in the late 1980. His first Bollywood Debut was Deewana. Deewana is a romantic drama film that released on June, 1992. It was directed by Raj Kanwar and produced by Lalit Kapoor and Guddu Dhanoa. Shahrukh Khan appears in the film’s second half. The other actors starring the film were Divya Bharti and Rishi Kapoor.  The movie was a bit hit. And so did SRK’s opportunity in the Indian Bollywood cinema got wider and better.

On his earlier days, he got pretty aggressive and villainous roles in the film. In 1993 his film released called Darr, which is a ‘psychological romance thriller’ starring Sunny Deol and Juhi Chawla besides Shahrukh Khan. Abbas-Mustan directed Baazigar (1993) was the second release of SRK’s crime thriller with co-star Kajol. It became SRK’s and Kajol’s first commercial success films and became the first successful Bollywood pair on screen.

In 1994, released his film Anjaam, which is again a psychological romance thriller. The film also starred Madhuri Dixit.  Shahrukh Khan got the Filmfare Best Villian Award.

No doubt his villainous acting was remarkable on the Indian films, but the songs he featured on these films are still popular and evergreen. His film ‘Maya Memsaab’ hurled a lot of controversy after its release. And the following year, his film ‘Anjaam’, ‘Kabhi Haan Kabhi Naa’ neutralised all the controversies. In 1995 the actor shared the screen with Salman Khan and the duo had one of the biggest hits ever: Karan Arjun.

Shahrukh Khan’s career saw a turning point after the release of ‘Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge’. The romantic story hit the Indian audiences and is still famous and running now on screens. It broke all the records of
Indian film industry and has been named ‘all time blockbuster’. It’s still running on cinema hall since 1995.

The following year was not a bit hit year for the Khan. ‘Army’, ‘Chaahat’, ‘English Babu Desi Mem’ just somehow made through the cinemas with other films. However the next year, he had some good releases of romantic films. And like how he made his place as the most romantic actor of Bollywood. In between 1997-99 SRK had a pretty good go, with movies like ‘Dil Toh Pagal Hai’, ‘Pardesh’, ‘Dil Se’, ‘Kuch Kuch Hota Hai’ and much more.

Shahrukh Khan has his own production house opened in 1999 with actress Juhi Chawla and director Aziz Mirza. And with that he had his first film released from his production house in the year 2000 with his partner Juhi Chawla herself in the film ‘Phir Bhi Dil Hai Hindustani’.

On the same year, King Khan got back, this time with a powerful move, starring with the Big B Amitabh Bachchan. Next comes Karan Johar’s family drama ‘Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham’ released in 2001, maintained the popularity in the international box office for a long five years.

He is seen in different avatars back to back with all his super hit films, such as, ‘Kal Ho Na Ho’, ‘Chalte Chalte’, ‘Swades’, ‘Main Hoon Na’, ‘Veer-Zara’, ‘Don’ ‘Chak De! India’, ‘Om Shanti Om’ and so on. He experimented with his looks, characters and role that he chose. And all fitted apt. on SRK playing each and every critical role gracefully. Chak De! India’s hockey coach, Swades’ NASA Scientist, Devdas’ alcoholic. My Name is Khan’s person with Asperger syndrome and the list is endless.

Besides being an actor, he is an entrepreneur, with his own motion picture production company named Red Chillies Entertainment. He is also the co-owner of the Indian Premier League Cricket team Kolkata Knight Riders.

On 2008, he was named one of the fifty most powerful people in the world by Newsweek. On August 2017, he was declared the eighth highest paid actor in the world according to Forbes. Government of India honoured him with Padma Shri.

Government of France awarded him both Ordre des Arts et des Lettres and Legion d’honneur.

Born on 2nd of November 1965, this once-upon-a-time Delhi guy now touches billions of hearts.
