We tend to hop on to many medicines and often that might not be helpful. Or there are times we run out of medicines. But there’s no need to panic. There are natural ingredients right at your kitchen that will help you reduce the pain emerging from sore throat. And those are healthy, natural, chemical free and has easy handy procedure.

So let’s check some natural remedies for sore throat:

1. Salt Water Gargle 

Mix some salt on warm water, stir it well and gargle. This helps soothing your sore throat and kills the bacteria present in throat. It also helps reduce the swelling and keeping the throat clean. 

2. Honey 

It’s one of the best natural remedies for healing the sore throat. It’s also effective to tame down the night time coughs. It softens the throat from inside.

3. Gargle with Baking Soda

Doing a gargle with Baking soda is a good sore throat healer as well. It also helps prevent the growth of yeast and bacteria inside the throat.

4. Warm water, lemon and honey

Instead of caffeinated drinks, have caffeine free warm water mixed with lemon and honey. It tastes good and heals your throat too.

5. Sliced garlic

Garlic has antibacterial, antiviral and antiseptic properties. Slice a little piece of garlic and chew it for ten to fifteen minutes. Its antiseptic properties naturally heal pain caused from sore throat.

6. Turmeric

Half tablespoon of turmeric powder and half tablespoon of salt mixed with lukewarm water is a good gargle remedy for sore throat. The antioxidant property present in turmeric helps killing bacteria.

7. Clove tea

Its antibacterial properties help kill germs inside throat. And the anti-inflammatory properties present in clove help killing the itchiness. Mix powdered or ground cloves with a cup of lukewarm water and sip on it.
