The Indian Premier League is most successful league in cricket history. This league was started in 2008. From 2008, this league got popularity season by season. The Indian Premier league was founded by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) in year 2007. This League completed their 10 Successful season. 11th Season is going to kick off in April. During these 10 Seasons, many records had been created.

#1 Most runs

In the list of most runs in IPL history, the name of One of the best all-rounder of Indian Cricket team Suresh Raina is coming on Top. Suresh Raina who played for Gujarat Lions in last two seasons of IPL played highest number of matches in IPL history under the Cap of Chennai Super Kings. As he played highest number of matches in IPL history, he scored highest number of run too. With 1 century and 31 half centuries, he scored 4540 runs.

Raina score 400+ runs in seven consecutive times. He is only batsman to do so. Virat Kohli is at 2nd with 4418 runs.

#2 Most Wickets

The most dangerous bowler in limited-over game, Lasith Malinga is the highest wicket-taker in IPL so far. With 13 for 5 is his best bowling figure in the IPL, he has picked a total of 154 wickets with an average of 19.01 in 110 matches.

He is master in slower-ones, Yorkers and deceptive cutters because of his sling action. Due to these he is death-over specialist.

With 134 wickets, Amit Mishra is on second position. Malinga is only bowler in IPL to take 150+ Wickets.

#3 Highest total

Before 2013 IPL, it is harder to believe that 263 runs in 20 overs is possible but Royal Challenger Banglore scored an unbelievable 263 runs in IPL 2013 against Pune Warriors. This is highest innings total by any team in a T20 match and also highest team total in IPL.

In that match, Chris Gayle smashed Pune Warriors bowlers to get 175 runs in 66 balls. RCB won that match by a huge margin of 130 runs.

RCB is on second spot too for their innings of 248/3.

#4 Lowest Team Total

Royal Challenger Bangalore is on top of the list in this category too. They were bowled out on just 49 runs against Kolkata Knight Rides in Eden Garden in Last edition of IPL.

They broke the record of Rajasthan Royals' 58 runs in IPL 2009.

#5 Highest individual score

In this list of highest individual score, the name of tall Caribbean batsman Chris Gayle is on the top. Chris Gayle smashed Pune Warriors bowlers to get 175 runs in 66 balls. He hit fastest century (30 balls), highest individual T20 score (175*) and the most numbers of individual sixes (17).

He broke the record of Brendon McCullum of 158 runs. McCullum scored 158 runs in the very first inning of the IPL.

#6 Best bowling figures

Best bowling figures in IPL history is by Pakistani Left-arm medium fast bowler Sohail Tanvir, who played for Rajasthan Royals against CSK with 6/14 in 2008.

Sohail Tanvir removed 6 CSK batsmen to restrict to a mere 109 runs.

#7 Highest successful run chases

Rajasthan Royals chased down 217 runs against Deccan Chargers. This record chase was fabricated with the stunning performance of Yusuf Pathan.

Deccan Chargers scored 214 runs for the loss of 5 wickets with the help of 117 runs from 53 by Andrew Symonds. But his Century gone waste because Yusuf played one of his best innings in the IPL. He scored 61 of only 28 Balls.

#8 Lowest scores defended

Chennai Super Kings holds the record of defending lowest score in IPL history. CSK defended 116 runs against Kings XI Punjab in 2009. The match was played in Durban.

From CSK Muttiah Muralitharan, Ashwin and Raina contributed with 2 wickets each and stopped Punjab at 92 for 8 in 20 overs.

#9 Most wins

The most successful team in IPL history, Mumbai Indians, hold the record of most wins in IPL history. Over Last 10 years, Men in Blue managed to win 91 matches. They have 3 IPL titles and 2 CL T20 Titles. Mumbai Indians is first IPL teams to win 100 T20 matches (IPL+CLT20)

With winning percentage of 60.68, CSK capture the Top Spot. Delhi Daredevils tops the list of most number of defeats with 82 losses in IPL history.

#10 Largest victories

Mumbai Indians defeated Delhi Daredevils with massive 146 runs in IPL 2017, this massive victory is largest victory in IPL history. Mumbai Indians had put a big total of 212 runs on board with the help of Kieron Pollard 63 from 35 balls and Simmons 66 off 43 balls.

In reply, DD only managed to score 66 runs for 10 wickets in 13.4 overs. Karn Sharma and Harbhajan Singh took 3 wickets each.

With their team effort, MI broke the record of the largest victory by Royal Challengers Bangalore (144 runs) against Gujarat Lions.
